WHAT'S NEW?
- January 28, 2008: Released
WinVNKey version 5.4.444
running on NT 3.x/4/2000/XP/2003 only.
Click here for a detailed summary of changes in Vietnamese.
- Supported context menu for conversion of character
cases and character sets (select text, press and release
CTRL, click right mouse to display menu. See hyperlink 4 on Special keys page)
- Redesigned macro pages with extensive features:
- Supported a new macro type called "Tail Macro"
- Supported many conditions to match macros
- Added a new tabbed page called "Macro Management"
- Greatly improved smart handling of Lazy Syllables.
- Optimized macro loading for large macro file size to improve responsiveness.
- Supported option to delete trailing blanks in macro replacement text for all macros in file.
- Improved support for "Get File Info" and "Set File Info" menu in "Typing Method", "Macros",
and "Viet Option" pages.
- Enhanced Viet Option page:
- Added new option "Change syllables",
- Added new options in Autochange and Syllable Correction.
- Improved uncombine options: when a mark is typed in, if the resulting sequence is not
Vietnamese, WinVNKey will check for macro matches before
uncombining marks, and after the marks are uncombined, the
whole sequence is again checked for macro matches.
- Supported a new fast typing method called TubinhTran
that can be used to quickly enter Vietnamese syllables
with and without diacritics. Each case is supported by a
set of three files: one typing method file, one Viet Option
page, and one lazy syllable macro file. There are a total
of six files provided by Binh Tu Tran from Australia.
Please see http://vietpali.sf.net/binh for details.
- Fixed a number of bugs in release 5.3.431 that were
reported by end users (bugs in smart uncombine of character
mapping in Typing method page)
- Improved smart handling of ưu syllable when using a
typing method that defines uu as u+ and enables option 6
(typing the same mark will restore the raw character). In
other words, typing three u letters in a row will now
result in the correct syllable ưu.
