Run Charmap
Conveniently launches Microsoft Character Map utility, which displays a table of Unicode characters. Alternatively, you can start it as follows:
NT4: Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Character Map
Windows 2000: Start --> Programs --> System Tools --> Character Map
Windows XP: Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> Character Map
Windows 9X: not available
Unicode Typepad
This is WinVNKey's version of Microsoft Character Map. The advantage is that it is tightly integrated into WinVNKey to help users define macros in Unicode characters that are not available on keyboards. In addition, it is available on Windows 9X whereas Microsoft Character Map is not.
Displays separate dialogs that help you convert Vietnamese text from one Vietnamese character set to another. It also features a transform tool to help programmers transform text to hexa/decimal/octal/UTF-8.
The converter is able to handle plain text (e.g., files with .txt extension) or RTF files (e.g., files that contain fonts and formatting information). The plain text converter supports an autoguess charset feature, which automatically determines the character set of the source data. It also supports conversion from plain text to RTF file using Unicode fonts either in precomposed or composed format.
The RTF converter in WinVNKey is very powerful and flexible. The conversion relies on font names because WinVNKey can determine the character set from font names for most cases. All you need to do is specify which fonts are replaced with which fonts. At the present time WinVNKey is unable to convert Microsoft Word documents or HTML files. However, MS Word can save .DOC files to RTF format and can read RTF files into .DOC format. You can take advantage of this feature to convert Vietnamese .DOC or HTML documents by first converting to RTF using MS Word, then converting RTF files using WinVNKey, and finally converting back to DOC/HTML using MS Word.
Displays a separate dialog that helps you reset various settings of WinVNKey.
